My name is Andrew Randazzo, and I live in Knoxville, TN. I graduated in May of 2006 from high school. I work full time for my dad, right now, who owns a window cleaning business (Fish Window Cleaning) which is part of a national franchise based out of St. Louis, MO; there’s over 180 franchises.
Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies and interests mainly consist of studying the Bible, but I also run, not that I’m very successful at that. When I can, I love to go rock climbing and backpacking. I also am a mediocre musician; I can play the piano, trumpet, and guitar decently. Of course, my Paperclip 2 House project is by far my biggest project.
I started with a yellow paperclip, and I keep trading it for “bigger or better” things. My goal is to eventually get a house. I got my idea for the project from watching a scenario that happened at school with these two guys. One guy traded something of more value for something of lesser value that he really wanted. So I started thinking, why couldn’t something like that work for me. So I started telling people about my idea, and one guy told me about someone up in Canada, Kyle McDonald, who had started with a paperclip, and was trying to trade up to a house. Well, I liked how he started with something small like a paperclip, and that’s what I decided to do. The only difference is, I don’t want to stop at a house. The purpose for getting the house is so that I can rent it/reinvest, and use the money to pay for college. That’s the ultimate goal of my whole project; not what I’m trying to get (a house), but what I’m trying to fund (mission work). I want to use this as a means of fulfilling my goals of going to college and supporting missionaries, persecuted Christians, and those who suffer in third world countries; and a way of financing mission trips that I would go on to personally support those people.
I’m going to eigther Maranatha or Northland Baptist Bible College. I feel God calling me to be a traveling evangelist once I finish my college studies and seminary. As a traveling evangelist I want to travel the world and preach. I really have a heart for people in third world countries who have nothing; Christians who are being persecuted for their faith. I want to encourage, support, and give supplies to those Christians, and do the same for others who aren’t Christians as well as preach the Gospel to them; that would be my main ministry. I’m going to be taking one to two mission trips a year for varying lengths of time, from now until I do this full time after my education. This is to give me a practical exprerience in what I’ll be doing in the future, and it’s also a way to show others on my site my vision and where I’m headed.
So, get a house, rent it out, pay for school, use my education to preach, and continue using my house money to support me as I travel the world.
